Friday Night: Merchant Crawl

In the quiet of the night, a merchant sets out to deliver their goods to a client at a nearby town. The merchant, armed with only a lantern and rapier. His friend, holding a pistol, waits for him at his final destination and can assist fending off three bandits lurking in the darkness. The bandits, armed with nothing but their daggers and the cover of night, must kill the merchant before they can reach safety and deliver their wares. This 2v3 game challenges both sides to use strategy, teamwork, timing, and skill in a fight where every move counts.

Heavy Weighs the Kron by Julian Schuetze

The Kron guard, mentioned in German longsword sources and depicted in Italian sources under a different name, is a powerful yet underutilized technique that effectively stifles an opponent’s initiative. In this seminar, we will explore both the mechanical and tactical applications of the Kron guard, as well as the follow-up attacks that naturally flow from it, including the Kronhau and Zwerchau targeting all four openings. Additionally, we will cover essential concepts such as controlling the center line, crushing the middle, and refining the use of the Zwerchau, focusing on often-overlooked mechanics and targets.

Times to Attack by Miles Kinnee

This year Miles will be offering a course titled ‘Times to Attack’. This course offers solutions for a wide range of situations by training recognition of specific visual stimuli that trigger a viable single time attack.
